NACVIEW Scout is an application that provides additional security for networks and connected devices. It is installed on end-user devices to scan for security-affecting parameters. The application analyzes received data and creates a security status report for each device. Information collected by the application includes antivirus program data, firewall information, and operating system versions.
To properly go through the application installation process, you need two files dedicated to your operating system. Once you have the necessary files, proceed to step 4. If you did not receive these files from your NACVIEW system administrator, you can download them yourself using the NACVIEW Access Portal. Simply log in and click the Download NACVIEW Scout button.
Before doing so, make sure to read and accept the application's terms of use. Click the Download button for Mac OS X.
Unzip the downloaded folder and locate NACVIEWScout.app.
Next, move the application to the Applications folder and run it.
Then, navigate to the application settings and click on Load.
From there, select the NACVIEW_Scout.config configuration file, which can be found in the previously downloaded and unzipped folder or received from your administrator.
Finally, go to System Settings and then to Users and Groups.
To access your account, navigate to the Login tab and select the NACVIEW Scout application.
