A certification authority (CA) issues electronic certificates, based on which the identity of the key owner can be certified. The authority can be an external company, but it is also possible to establish a certification authority internally.
Three types of CA can be configured in the NACVIEW system. These are: an internal CA, an external CA, and an external CA with the ability to generate a CSR request.
Press the Edit button in the Certificate Settings section. Update the information, remembering that you should not use special characters or Polish letters in the certificate settings forms.
Confirm the entered parameters by clicking Save. Go to the Server Certificate Settings section and click Edit. Update the data you see there.
Save the set values, and then go to step 4 of the instructions.
Press the Edit Settings button in the Certificate Settings section. Update the information, remembering that you should not use special characters or Polish letters in the certificate settings forms.
Confirm the entered parameters by clicking Save. Go to the Certificate Files section. Add new files to the system by following the paths:
CA certificate -> Select file -> Upload files -> Summary
Server certificate -> Select file -> Upload files -> Summary
Server certificate private key -> Select file -> Upload files -> Summary
After importing the certificate file, the color of the frame changes to green and displays what file was uploaded.
Go to step 4 of the instructions.
Press the Edit Settings button in the Certificate Settings section. Update the information, remembering that you should not use special characters or Polish letters in the certificate settings forms.
Go to the Certificate Files section and click Generate Certificate Request and complete the form with the updated data (still without special characters and Polish letters).
Click Confirm and then download the CSR file by clicking Download Certificate Request.
The private key is remembered for the duration of the logged-in user's session.
Sign the downloaded CSR file with your own certificate authority.
Now select Summary. Then, add new files to the system by following the paths:
CA certificate -> Select file -> Upload files -> Summary
Server certificate -> Select file (add the signed server certificate here!) -> Upload files -> Summary
After importing the certificate file, the color of the frame changes to green and displays what file was uploaded.
Go to step 5 of the instructions.
To upload the changes to the system, press the Apply Configuration button at the bottom of the page.
Wait until the loading bar reaches 100% and a green box appears underneath it with a message that the configuration change task has been successfully completed.
From the list of Wizards select CA CAs again.
Click the Install Configuration button in the upper right corner.
The system will set the desired parameters within 10-15 minutes. Under the loading bar you will see a message about correct or incorrect changes.
